Dear Valued Customer:

The U.S. wire rope manufacturing industries have faced some interesting and very difficult times over the past years. We have constant pressure to provide the most cost effective products to our customers while facing the most unforeseen and uncontrollable rise in costs, component costs, and service expenses. Over the past year, we have been forced to accept 19% to 30% increases in cordage, lubrication, and other material costs, and a 12% to 28% increase in liability and property insurance. Labor costs, such as health care, and other manufacturing and distribution costs continue to rise as well.

Wirerope Works, Inc. has aggressively pursued cost reduction programs throughout its operations as a major company goal and strategy. However, the rising manufacturing and distribution costs continue to out pace our efforts. Therefore, effective with all shipments on or after February 1, 2008, WW will implement an approximate 3.5% increase on all products. New price schedules will be available on our web site as soon as they are updated.

WW appreciates its loyal customers and their continued support. Please contact any WW personnel should there be any questions.

Sincerely,

William T. Austin
Director of Marketing
